Granja Canals · Banyeres del Penedès
Story
The story belongs to the place.
Granja Canals was a home and a working estate long before it became a property being presented to a new owner or project.
A house tied to the land.
The house was built by the family as a residence connected to the land around it. Over time, domestic life, agricultural work and practical spaces accumulated around the same centre rather than being planned as separate worlds.

The house was also a place of work.
The family’s great-grandmother practised dentistry in rooms within the house. The surviving dental space is a precise, memorable trace of a time when home and professional life could occupy the same building.

The land had its own working geography.
Older working documents preserve names such as Pou Nou, La Fàbrica, Pou Vell, Caminal and Torrent. Those names are useful because they reveal a lived geography: wells, paths and pieces of land that were known individually while still forming part of the same estate.

History explains the place. It does not prescribe what comes next.
The value of knowing the past is not to turn Granja Canals into a museum, but to understand what gives the house and land their character before deciding how to move them forward.
